FAUNA AND FLORA INTERNATIONAL

Founded in 1903, FFI is the world's longest established international conservation body. It is one of the few organizations whose remit is to protect the entire spectrum of endangered plant and animal species on the planet. We provide support to conservation initiatives throughout the world, in the form of partnerships, technical assistance, direct funding and consultancy.

FFI Around the World

FFI divides its work into five conservation programmes. Regional programmes focus on Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Eurasia, while the Global Programmes address conservation themes.

Africa - FFI has its roots in Africa and has maintained a strong presence throughout the continent since the organization was founded there in 1903.

Americas - Launched in 1998, the Americas Programme is expanding throughout Central and South America.

Asia-Pacific - Active in Asia as early as 1935, when its members were involved in the creation of Hailey National Park in India, FFI now has offices in Beijing, Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Manila, Bogor, Medan, Sungai Penuh and Banda Aceh.

Eurasia - Covering a huge diversity of temperate and sub-tropical ecosystems, the Eurasia region reaches from the forests of Western Europe to the deserts of the Middle East and the steppes of Central Asia.

Global - Many conservation issues are not confined to a specific region and require a global approach. We work on a range of globally significant, high priority themes that transcend individual regions.
